The accuracy of the volts or ohms reading might be affected, but any change in the "speed" of the signal is so small as to be completely ignorable. I doubt you could even find the equipment to measure it accurately

Well, the other side of that argument is that if you added the ground wires to a new car, they're going wear/corrode at the same rate as the factory wiring. At some point you'll have to fix one or both down the road.

Well, the other side of that argument is that if you added the ground wires to a new car, they're going wear/corrode at the same rate as the factory wiring. At some point you'll have to fix one or both down the road.
Let's not complicate this discussion by using logic now....

They don't? I feel betrayed.

You are both onto something, the actual speed (not to be confused with its quality) of the signal is unchanged but a poor ground can add unwanted resistance (potentially introducing errors into sensor readings) and reduced current (amps) carrying capacity, both of which can create problems.

I had a dyno run between having the grounding kit on and off, it made no difference at all
