Default SZ Updated Clutch & Flywheel Kits

Hi guys

We've updated our new clutch system to use an even lighter flywheel over our original design. Now weighing in at 13 lbs and with a complete assembly weight with clutch and flywheel for 31 lbs. A nice 17 lbs saving. This translates for an even more responsive throttle and engine with much better shifting at high RPM. We also are now using a tried and true Tilton Racing Slave to replace the factory CSC.

The complete assemblies are balanced for silky smooth engine balance.



Max Street Clutch









Our Tilton slave includes the adapter plate, hardware, and SS lines. No modifications are needed to bolt the unit in. Very straightforward and simple install.

We have three clutch options to choose from.
The Max Street which is perfect for the street driver looking to hold over 600 whp and have a super smooth engagement.

The Max 6-Puck made for those looking for our smoothest engaging pucked disc with added holding power and ability to take the abuse of drag strip launches.

The High 5-Puck uses a solid aluminum un-sprung hub that saves even more weight to help make quicker shifts at high RPMs.

Interesting. How much real world testing have you guys done with this setup, especially with the CSC?

We've done a good amount of time with this particular unit. Along with this particular slave being used in other abusive applications with great results. This slave is used in many racing applications.

I'm interested....starting to gather parts for my FI build. PM some prices on clutch, flywheels and csc. Looking to have something to take abuse and not a pain to drive around. Will be around 500whp daily driver...

Sure, what I sent someone earlier.


We have three different clutches (discs) to choose from. All three will handle forced induction power no problem.

The street disc is perfect for someone who daily drives the car for an ultra smooth engagement. Its only downsides is that it doesn't like to get slipped (drag racing). I have customers who still drag race with it but I warn them that if they slip it to much it will glaze the disc and render it useless.

The next stage would be the 6-Puck. It uses a sprung hub and is very streetable even with the more aggressive material. It is made for more aggressive driving like drag racing (launches). Life expectancy is about 15,000 to 25,000 miles. Of course any clutch is dependent on the abuse and driver use.

The High 5 is the ultimate in racing use. I daily drive my Z with it but it is a little harsher on the engagement. It uses our lightest disc for the best high RPM shifts.

Now THAT is better! That compared to the old unit was why i gave you guys ****. this is how its supposed to be done. also just curious how light is the friction disc on your highest streetable setup if there was one thing with this car i'd want to reduce the weight on the input shaft to ease the synchro's job. support for 500ft/lbs holding capacity

Just for you:


We'll start things off with our modified street disc. Coming in at 3.8 lbs. Perfect for the driver who wants very silky smooth engagements and won't be tearing it up at the drag strip.


Our 6-Puck comes in just a tad lighter than the street disc. This disc is for those who are mean to the drive-train assaulting it with clutch dumps and high horsepower.


Next up is the competitor's feramic disc. This puppy comes in at a heavy weight of 4.6 lbs. Feramic materials were developed for agricultural use (tractors, heavy equipment, etc.) It is heavy duty and also heavy on weight. Not really designed for the sports car enthusiast. Notorious for welding themselves to your flywheel as well.


This brings us to our new 5 Puck disc. Extremely lightweight and nimble. Easy on your trans and gives the driver the much needed high RPM shifting desired without sacrificing transmission internals. A must for the spirited driver looking for no compromises. Our pressure plate that goes with this disc is also lighter. Since it is solid it will have some chatter.
