Why do they "suck" so much? Most dealerships and shops have been using them for years

WalMart sells Chinese made products not because of quality, they do it for the price. THey are just not good oil in my opinion, breaks down way too early

Is Valvoline really that bad? I've been using it for years and never had an issue.

i wouldn't say it's bad but i'd take a heavily developed performance synthetic over most commercial oils any day. I'm sure there is some juiced up super race valvoine that they actually would use in nascar but it sure isn't anything you can get for less than $10 a quart, the rest is just marketting fodder. if u doubt any oil go over to bobistheoilguy.com and ask around there. they have databases of oil analysis results from a ton of people.
