Limited Slip Diff
I'm sorry if this has already been discussed but would someone please elaborate on the limited slip diff provided from the sport package. I am wondering if this is a must've.

I have a OS Giken and I LOVE IT. Still my best mod to date. It gives me so much confindence when exiting a turn. I feel I can give it so much more throttle while applying it much sooner and remain in complete control. It delivers power so equally to both rear tires. It's defiantly a miracle worker. Even when braking.

Do you have a base model or sport? When I brake hard the LSD locks at 50% briefly but it's always in control for it does this evenly with both sides. So I assume with a open diff or even a the VLSD this could happen. I never tested that out before hand.

Monitor temps and see for yourself.
It's not a dig on the car, it's just helpful info for the op. The Vlsd shouldnt be a determining factor on the sport package. Brakes and rims are cool, but the Vlsd is garbage (and this is not z-specific, all Vlsd's are). Anyone who needs an LSD will replace it almost immediately. It has nothing to do with the Z and everything to do with how a VLSD works. If you are on a track (or AutoX) you want a real limited slip diff. |
