A few years ago I was told cars can lose performance if the OBDII port is used for data retrieval. Anyone know if that is a myth or true? If

Default OBDII scanner / engine performance

A few years ago I was told cars can lose performance if the OBDII port is used for data retrieval. Anyone know if that is a myth or true? If it is, how about the 370?
