Default Z suddenly loses power, almost got in car accident this morning

Something scary happened on the way to work this morning. Shortly after leaving the house I’ve noticed a dip on the power band at lower rpm. About 30mins later, the car suddenly loses of power in 1st gear at 3000rpm. The car behind me almost hit me because of that.
This morning was pretty nice and cool with 70 degree out and my oil temp. was surprisingly at 220(it normally stays under 200)? Also, I could get the car go over 3000rpm in 1st , 2nd or 3rd gear.
After arriving to work, I let it park and cool down for about 15 min(oil temp. at 185) and it revs find again? I am taking the car to the dealer this afternoon to have it check.
Does anyone else experience similar behavior on their car?

Btw, could bad gas cause the problem(RaceTrack gas station)?

My current mods are G3 CAI & Top speed CBE.

the ecu might have thrown a fit and gone into limp mode, should be ok upon restart. I think this happened to me once...

yah, check all the fluids for that matter. but if your oil is that low chances are you might get a low oil indicator so it's probably bad gas. did you guys get a lot of rain the past weekend or so? some of those older pos gas stations have water seeping into their tank underground especially after a storm.

I think a few people have experienced this. AK has it on video. I think it was a one time incident.

So, Nissan called and said that i have a camshaft position sensor failure.
How and why it happened, I still don't know but the repair is covered under the warranty.

Hey Dennis, sounds odd
I personally dont think the crankshaft position sensor is the issue. i ahd one go bad on a previous car and it doesnt sound like you have the symptoms

If you said your oil temps were rocketing, maybe there was a failure on the oil temp sensor thinking you had overheated. It would only need to blip to 280+ for it to go into limp mode.

Get it back and watch how it drives. Hopefully this resolves everything.
