Possible transmission issue? (Yes I used the search function)
I have browsed the seemingly endless threads relating to clutch noise, chatter etc. and I cant seem to find one that resembles what I am hearing. I'm hoping someone could help shed some light on this.
When shifting from 1st to second I get this vibration sound, not a grinding but almost like a bearing spinning. It happens when clutch is pressed in and shifting into second... at first it sounded like air escaping (like BOV or redirect valve) but after studying it more it is definitely some sort of higher frequency vibration. It seems to do it more frequently as the car warms up and I've yet to get it to occur at start up. There is no feel of friction or any difference in the quality of shifting but this rather loud intermittent sound. Any ideas? |
