Hey guys.

We are sad to see something like this happen to our products. Please understand that we are doing everything in our power to assist the customer in order to have the situation resolved as soon as possible. Additionally, our Production team is looking into the reason as to why this occurred. We have installed these mounts onto a basically stock vehicle, as well as our 500whp supercharged 370z which attended SEMA. Both are not experiencing these issues.

tjaartk, we are currently working with your vendor to get this handled immediately. We do appreciate your patience with this matter.

If anyone has any questions for us, please do not hesistate to e-mail me directly at patrick@dropengineering.com, or sales@dropengineering.com.

Thanks,
-Pat

When you accelerate, there is a noticeable lag created with OEM mounts due to movement of the motor.
wouldn't the motor have to actually fully rotate in the engine bay for there to be any lag in throttle response? i mean i know there are reasons for solid motor mounts, i have them in my 300zx but it had nothing to do with delay in throttle response...

the insanely small amount of movement that the engine actually goes through when it torques to one side under acceleration.... i dont even think that could cause a measurable delay in throttle response.

When you reduce engine movement you get a perceived "snatch" as the drivetrain comes on load. On standard mounts this is dampened out , particularly when they are hydraulic mounts like the 370Z has. Its more of a "feel" than an actual quickness on the throttle. It does give the feeling that you are more connected to the car. It’s very subjective.

Hello guys just following up on this thread becasue I am intrested in the Drop Engineering mounts.

So I read this whole thread, one guy bought the mounts then they self distructed shortly after install.

Then he gets a refund and is satisfied, thats where the story ends.

So is the conclusion to not buy these? There is no mention that he got a bad set, just that he got a refund.

Thanks,

Thanks,

The main issue was with the engine mounts. So the transmission mounts are ok.
We're not sure if he just received a bad set of engine mounts or just exceeded its limit with the amount of power his car was making.

Since then, there hasn't been any more issues with other clients. So I would say these are safe to to use if you're running up to 100hp over stock. Let me know if you're interested in a set.

Thanks

thanks, I did a little reading and from what I gathered it just talked more about the process and not really how they worked for him, I think he said something about testing it on the track later...

I know this thread is dead as a doornail but I'm gonna post anyway cuz I'm slightly saddened. Had these on for about ...a week? I'm NA, all stock and found these for a steal here on the classifieds. Looked under the car today and noticed some green sticking out. Upon further inspection I saw this :(
