Coolant Smell
 

I have noticed the smell of coolant when getting out of my Z after driving on hot days. No drop in coolant level. The radiator is still full when the engine is cold. I have not found any visible leaks.

Anyone else smell coolant after driving on hot days? Any ideas?

I have had the same thing before with no signs of anything. Mostly for the first several thousand miles. I see you also have a 2011 model. So maybe it just some new being brunt off.

i noticed this too...smell, with no visible loss of coolant.

I've noticed it a few especially after it being in my garage when the car and outside was hot. Like shutting it off goin inside for a hour or two and then goin back out. Maybe its the vent off of the overflow?

Yep keep your eye on the level and don't worry about it.

i think its from coolant entering the overflow bottle, there is always some condensation in the bottle when i smell it.

make sure to keep the coolant topped off. if it gets below then you'll get air in your radiator and that will create rust. had that problem on my 06 taco.

I hqve this as well no leaks no level drop so i just ignore it.
