Water Temp Gauge: Where to mount sensor?
Where is the proper place to mount a water temp sensor? I've seen the pieces that come with a kit which leaves me to believe you have to tap somewhere (maybe the block). Come someone help inform me?

I ran the rubber tubing into the stainless tubing and back into the suction of the water pump. Basically where the hot coolant first went into the throttle body, I jumped the flow back into the stainless lines in the rear of the intake manifold, bypassed the other throttle body and ran a line bypassing the TB and back into the stainless line on the side of the block. Within that mess I installed a brass tee and installed the temp sensor, on the passenger side.
I wanted to install the gauge sensor in the back of the block where the factory one is located but just couldn't get access to that area. What I've done works excellent and temp indication is accurate and quick to show temp. No block was drilled or harmed in any manner. Confused? ....I know I am just rrying to remember how I did it and describe it.

That sounds good. Even with the the TB coolant delete I did I still could route a line from the feed back around to the return and just add the fitting inline there closer to the feed side being there's plenty of room. Just want the best accurate readings. Thanks for your help.
Now the brass T fitting doesn't come with most kits correct? All I saw was the sensor and a little threaded orifice that may go into a T fittting.
