Question about the AT

With all the talk about AT, I have a quick question about the AT. Does the transmission allow you to ride in gear in manual mode at redline? So let's say you hit 7500RPM, would the car shift immediately or bounce off the limiter for as long as you need. At what RPM does the car force itself to downshift? It's been two years since I last drove one, just need you guys to help me refresh my mind.

Yes it will let you go to redline and will not shift up by itself. It usually downshifts somewhere around 1k rpm. :tiphat:

correct.

it lets you bounce the rev limiter.

Both above are correct. It won't upshift, but it will downshift to prevent stalling.
