Default Sprint Booster Installation

I recently installed the Sprint Booster Unit on my 2009 370Z and noticed that when I leave the unit in either Race or Sport Mode, the light on the switch continues to stay on even after I shut down the car.

Has anyone noticed this condition on their installation?

It does the same on mine. I turn it off when parked.
I like it. It does just what it says.

Hey man..I really like it and it does make a dfference. I have the switch located on the side of the console. When I have the unit off and on a highway, I toggle between Sport and Racing and you can feel the car surge forward and perform better...not faster...just more responsive. Keep in mind I have an Auto Trans.

You should be able to obtain a discount code..which should save you about $50. Check around.

Yep, mine stays on too. But I have mine tucked away in the dash down by the pedals. I actually found a nice little place to lodge it. It's still easy to access yet out of sight.

The SB should turn off. If it stays ON then something is wrong IMO.

Here is my SB start up and shut down.

I sent a email to the guys at Sprint Booster...here was their response:

"It is normal for the light to stay on after you turn off the ignition.

This is caused by the residual power in the circuits when the car is shut down. The reason it stays on so long is the LED is an extremely low power device, and it takes time for this power to bleed off. There is no cause for alarm as this is an extreme low power dissipation."

I would agree if it stays on for a few seconds. But if it stays on for hours or never turns OFF. Then i think something is wrong.

I think the price of the unit was lowered without a promo code. But search the forum anyway..I believe I found it here.

I bought mine using an old group buy code organized on 6speedonline and it still worked. I would search the Internet for a few, I'm sure one is bound to work, good luck.

BTW, if the LED stays on, don't worry about it, I've had mine for a long time now and I've had no issues with it.

Sometimes it goes out once the car is off and the door is open. Other times it says on for a while, but is off the next time I use it. But as you say never had a problem.
