Performance Motorsport: OS Giken GT Twin Plate Clutch Install
A customer came to us after having difficulties with another shop and needed a tune on his SuperCharged 370Z. While here he also decided to have an Oil Cooler and a OS Giken Grand Touring Twin Plate Clutch installed. He was looking for a high horsepower clutch without giving up the 'OEM feel' engagement. This is actually the very first OS Giken GT TP clutch installed. I grabbed a couple shots through out the install process to share here with you guys.
the car before dropping the transmission Out with the JimWolf clutch The new OS Giken GT Twin Plate Transmission going back in

Great, Im jealous. What are the blue and black fitting inside the transmission bell housing there? I'm going to say they connect to the clutch slave cylinder. Not familier with the inside of transmissions.
I also see some axle stubs there. Is there a LSD being installed?

Speaking of the CSC... Did you replace your CSC during the install?
I thought I read those are now more prone to fail. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes the CSC was replaced with a custom piece that we make in house. we normally use ZSpeed's CSC but have also developed our own that is twice as strong, but is also double the price.
The customer wanted the best of the best so he went ahead with our CSC along with the Grand Touring Giken Clutch

I had a Giken clutch installed on my 370Z GTM TT. The problem is that clutch engages at the very top of the Clutch pedal. My installer does not know how to adjust it. I've e-mailed Giken and gotten no reply. Any help appreciated.

Can handle the HP. have 500+ (GTM TT) and all is well. Not so great for stop and go traffic. Very little slip, if any. Release is at the top of the pedal release. Clutch is Off or On only. No in between. When moving, shifts easily, wouldn't know it is anything special. Haven't really dropped the hammer due to a right rear axle not being where it should be. Will be replacing Base rear end + Quaife LSD with Sport LSD and we'll see how that works out. A bit noisy but no big deal while driving. A little scary to some who don't know what it is (dealer anyone?).

So it engages at the top huh? No way to adjust it closer to the middle? That may make things interesting for me in the long run.....
Great job on the install

Interested to know if it can be adjusted to engage mid pedal instead of up top.

I love my OSG/GT its a must if if dropping a TT in the car. Of course i blew the block (oops) so now im swapping... pics help BTW: this clutch is excellent if you want an OEM feel.. I have had no complaints running this clutch whatsoever. (out of sight out of mind type of operation - a bit jingly fully engaged though)
