That's the way I understand it too. I'm betting the speed lights that tell your speed aren't that accurate near me.

I like your theory here. I drove a 2010 Z06 that can do 60+ in 1st gear.
I will have a Stillen SC installed in my 2013Z in 2 weeks. With 500 BHP (roughly 425 RWHP from most posts I have read) I am thinking it will have plenty of grunt to allow for even the AT final drive gear of 3.3. I have not been able to find where any one has done that though. There have been no posts here for 18 months. So, are you happy with your 3.54? Any thoughts on the 3.3.
Thanks,
Matt

3.3 has been done on the 350z, a few higher powered members did it. By high power high 500's to the wheels to the 700's because of the freight train of torque at low gears. Look up a use on the my350 forums under the name Alberto, I believe he did the swap you are speaking of, though his mid boost range was in the 600's if I remember correctly.

The car drives much better and seems to get better mileage. Though be aware of the difference in acceleration capability.

I have the same final drive in my car 3.3 and I love it was a big difference from the stock 3.69.

Interesting that SRM still works. People say it doesn't when going to 4:08s

Hi Mr. Squeeze ...
I need to do exactly the same ... change the final drive from 3.69 to 3.3.

I have an '09 Sport with the 6MT trans - and have changed the OEM LSD to the Quaife.
The motor is finished being built, and it is being shipped back this week : so I need to do what needs to be done.

Have tried to research how to do this, but since you have already done this (and many other things as well) -You are the man to talk to !!!

Can you just swap the pinion gears ? I'm reading that you changed out the whole differential found in a junk yard.
Did you have to change out the driveshaft as well ? and was it already LSD (from a 370)?
I've been to Nissan and they don't have an answer but do have about 5 different part numbers for the differential.

I live near you in the NE New Jersey area near Hackensack off of Rt. 80, and would be appreciative of any info you can share regarding local shops and services ...

Time, for me, is of the essence, and I would really like to get the car back to the track before Christmas and hit some good numbers ...

Thanks,
