7AT - fluid temp vs. line pressure?

Here's something I noticed while reading the Infiniti FSM. According to the text, the TCM raises the line pressure when the fluid temps is lower than "normal". Does that mean installing a big trans cooler will increase line pressure which speeds up shifting? Also, what temp. is considered "normal"?
