what engine mods do people do?
So i just got an 09 370 about 2 days ago and it already has an engine intake and catless midpipe. But other than an exhaust and intake i cant really seem to find many other mods for these motors. What else is out there to do to these amazing VQ's other than e/i/t to get extra hp???
I mean there has to be more right...? tell me what you guys got goin on under those hoods and the results u are seeing from them

Most people put on Stillen Gen 3 intake pipes,a good cat back exhaust, and maybe some High flow cats(for some).

intake, cats, and exhaust, with a tune to cap it off it about all that makes sense to do if you are staying NA. If you are looking for more pep beyond that, it is probably worth looking at gears.

i guess i'm just a little surprised by tha lack of trick intake manifolds, throttle bodies, and things of that nature for these motors. i mean i have an Injen intake, and i feel like after i get the exhaust done and if i dont like a voiding the warranty with a tune... then what...?

might be a dumb question, but do lightweight crank pullies void any sort of warranty?

It's a valid question. You only void the warranty if the resulting failure was a direct result of the installed aftermarket part. "Proving" the part had nothing to do with the failure to a dealership is a whole other topic. Usually you can get away with breathing mods like intake & exhaust... maybe even a tune. It depends alot on the dealership.

IMO a tune shouldn't hurt either if the tuner knows what's he's doing. I feel my tune is more efficient than a OEM tune.

Ya i feel like i may be running into quite a bit off warranty issues with a crank pulley or a tune for that matter. a dealership can pretty much say a more aggressive fuel map, timing changes, or anything else that tunes change can pretty much be the cause of any engine part failure IMO... i could be wrong but i dont wanna find out the hard way
