Default Rear Differential Carrier HELP!!

Well about 3 weeks ago I got into an accident with my Z .The damage was all underneath and it was pretty bad. Most of everything from below had to be replaced. And now its getting repaired, everything is going well except finding a new rear differential carrier is a bitch!

I believe its part 23 in the link provided.

I spun out going downhill..it was raining really bad...almost snowing...the whole bottom of the car skid over the entire side walk...

I'm from Toronto, Canada.. the guy whose fixing my car already fixed everything else that was damaged. He can't find that "rear differential carrier/cover" in all of Canada apparently? My Nissan dealership also claimed that the part can only be found in Japan.

However, my dealership also told me that they don't deal with dealerships in the U.S I don't know why.
I dont know what to do..the cars has been in the shop for 3 weeks now.. and I just feel like the guys who are fixing my car are not searching for this part like they should be!

Weird that it's listed as "not for sale" on this site as well as a couple others I commonly use for parts. I don't know if it's included/the same as the 'final drive assembly' part number 38300 which costs a whopping $1500.

Searching a Local or Online Import wrecking yard would be an option.

I don't see what the delay is. You should know that ANY Z rear diff will fit your 370Z. Just use the flange on the front of the diff to match your driveshaft and your set. (09/10 are different from other years) You will have to change the diff gears to the stock 3.69, make sure the bearing and seals are good.

While your at it you may as well upgrade the stock LSD to a aftermarket one and pick the gearset you want to go with.

The opportunity is endless.
