An oil pressure gauge can help determine low oil level but typically under hard cornering or when pushing the go pedal hard. It's mainly a tool for other indicators such as too high oil temp (low pressure), possible relief valve problems (high pressure) or oil pump going out (pressure all over the place).
I believe the Z has an oil warning light anyway so if oil pressure is that bad it will indicate that with an idiot light. Is it really that hard to open the hood and check the dipstick every week?  |
Yes, that is too much. Want us to check all the fluids and tire pressures every week too? Who has time for that? Not me.
