I can't wait to install mine. I got the spring like a week ago but the day I got the spring some guy from my office building backed into my car and damaged the bumper and some of the body behind the bumper so now the spring is sitting on my desk at home and my car is sitting at the body shop.

Can someone that has done this take a quick look at this short vid to see if this is normal? I don't remember it being normal, but I also don't want to go through the ordeal of putting the old spring back in just to see.
I didn't spend more than 2 minutes driving the car WITHOUT the spring at all, so I'm just wondering if this is the same "play" that happens when you don't have any spring in. YouTube - ‪Clutch‬‏ Thanks! Last edited by cruzmisl; 06-18-2011 at 09:52 PM. |

it's normal, I have that too. There should be a small amount of play in any clutch pedal, it lets know that you are not dragging against the pressure plate when clutch is disengaged

we should all chip in and buy nick a tank of gas for his work here!!! lol
I even went as far as making him come to my house to try to get my pin in.... I got 5 on it, lol... ...... with the spring in there will be some play at the top thats "dead" but the spring pushes it all the way up... you cannot lift the pedal with ur foot any more than where it is on its own... BUT with the spring out , you will be able to lift the pedal a little bit where the spring would usually push it up to that point...

Thanks for that description. I didn't have the spring out long enough to know that w/o a spring, it wouldn't go all the way up.

Yep thanks Nick for doing this. I'm liking mines so far.
Also, if anyone get's stuck putting that pin back into the hole like me, I say scrap it and use a nut and bolt. Mines were stuck solid, it would not go through so a nut and bolt works just as good |
