Honestly, the century spring one because it's almost like there's no spring except there's no play at the top of the pedal. That's what I originally wanted but esfourteen's spring is still waaaay better than OEM feel.

Add yourself to the list and when we hit 4 I'll order the century replacement spring. We'll do the transactions via Paypal if that works for everyone.

that works for me. How much are these springs running?

V8Killer 08-19-2011 09:17 AM

Esfourteen. Any word on those last 2 springs you got? I'll be home in a few weeks so I would like all modifications to my car to be finished so I can enjoy her while I am home before going back out.

Now we have

1. Vaughanabe13
2. usmc_nick
3. pedelg24
4.

The total cost for me to order inc. shipping is 47.81. I'll add 12 to that price to ship the other 3 springs to you guys (4 each for box+ship). that brings us to about $60. So each individual cost will be $15 including shipping. Does that work for everyone? We just need one more person to commit.

Ok, we've got an order of 4 going, which meets the minimum total. I can add more people to the list and hopefully it might decrease shipping a bit, but most likely the cost will still be $15 per person.

Anymore reviews on the century springs? Have any drawbacks been noticed? I am interested in one, just wanted to see a little more feedback before I pull the trigger on it.

Thanks

I'll wait until the list hits 8 or so and then order.

Is it too late for one more? If not what is the total price and you want it via PayPal, right?

In America we don't just "break in line" so we'll can show you as the #8 and I'll keep my slot at #7...how's that?

Just an FYI, I would highly suggest speaking with AK before organizing any group buys.

This is a continuation of an order by Vaughanabe13 from 8/19...I think he has ordered several times...just another buy that was at 6 people on it. I'll try and figure out how to ask AK or let Vaughanabe13 since this was his original post.

Thx,
Jack

OK guys, I was out of commission over the weekend but I'm back. I haven't ordered yet. To be clear, the following list is for one Century Spring P/N 72577. I will PM everyone after the order is made for the final cost. I'll do a flat fee that includes shipping to the contiguous US. If you live outside the cont. US we will have to figure out shipping costs because I can't shoulder the extra charges there. My estimate cost will be $15 each inc. shipping but I can not guarantee that price until I see the final costs. I'm not going to make any money on this, what you pay for is what it costs me and no more.

The list is as follows:

1. Vaughanabe13
2. usmc_nick
3. pedelg24
4. 2011 Nismo#91
5. newyen27
6. ChipsWithDips
7. Jack370Z
8. Pangotti

Please let me know by the end of today if there are any problems with this list. Otherwise I'm going to go ahead and order 8 springs.

poorazn 08-22-2011 08:46 AM

If its not to late, I'd be in for one. The list is for eight, but if it works, count me in!

Dang! Too late to the party it looks like. Had issues first time I engaged the clutch backing out of the dealership shop after they prepped the car. Still hate it at 300 miles. PM me if I can get in on the deal still or please send me spring manufacturer and P/N please.:bowrofl:

This might just be what the doctor ordered. Will look down in there during the weekend. 6'5" here so I'm not looking forward to stuffing my head down there.

You can find the part number if you go back just a couple pages. I only ordered 10 springs so you're out of luck.

Its not all that comfy to get to, but its pretty quick with the right tools.
Just get rid of the current spring now, and you'll be so much happier! then work on getting the Century Spring to minimize the tiny bit of extra play with no spring. :driving:

The "right tools" being a small flathead and needlenose, correct? I need to get down there and take my spring off soon.

Nitrouz 08-25-2011 03:33 PM

When will you get your orders Vaughanabe13? And when should we paypal you?

Alex

PS. Thanks for doing this btw.

np. I haven't gotten a shipping email yet but I placed the order on Monday afternoon (8/22). I'm assuming they already shipped (I have already been billed) so I'll update you guys when they arrive. I thought about having you guys send payments early but I am more comfortable waiting until I have the product in my hands - that way I won't have to deal with paypal reimbursements if something happens to the order.

I honestly only used a very long set of needlenose pliers. Something like the straight pliers here...
http://www.garrettwade.com/images/250/05R0210.jpg
and a scrap piece of wooden closet rod to push down on the clutch to release the pressure from the spring. That way i didn't have to wedge myself under the dash too much.

I used the long pliers to pull the retaining ring. Then pushed in the clutch. Again with the pliers, from the right side i pushed the pin to the left side, then grabbed the pin and pulled it the rest of the way from the left side. It was a little more complicated, once i got the replacement spring, to put everything back together because of the spring making it a bit harder to line everything up perfect. but not too hard.
