delay when releasing clutch?
 

I went to the dealer today to look at the 370z. The sales man pulled a new one up so I can sit in one. Well... the clutch feels a little bit funny. It doesn't release fast enough. When I step in and quickly release it, it pops back up after like half a second. Another thing to note is that the car was cold(40 degrees F) at the time as well. Anyone else have the same thing happen in their Z?

Yes happened to me alot during high rev shifts. Z1 370z/G37 Stainless Steel Clutch Line new clutch line and fluid will fix it.

That kinda sucks.... Nissan should go stainless steel braided right from the factory.

Yeah Nissan should have done alot of things from the factory, like oil coolers, SS clutch lines, and the Nismo should have been TT and the base 370z should have been the Nismo. lol

I had this problem on my 350Z, and yes changing the clutch fluid and swapping to a stainless line fixed it... the stock rubber line couldnt take the excess heat apparently. Have not had the same issue on the 370 luckily.

I went to change my clutch line today with fail all over it. Thought it would of been a simple task. Done it a several times before. Where my clutch line hooks up to the hard line, the nut got rounded off. It is defiantly over torqued from Nissan. The other side came off with ease. It didn't never budge. So I had to install it back. And now I have to come up with another plan. I even use the proper tool, a line wrench.

Most likely going have to pay to have done. Which runs into is the cost worth it. Especially with the nut being rounded. But when you have a rounded nut over a flared hard line. Not sure if it's a easy fix. The install doesn't take a hour with good standings. The only time I've had clutch sticking issues is on hard standing launches. But I don't do that silly stuff anymore.
