OIL FILTER-new owner 40th Z

I plan on getting my first oil change at Walmart this Saturday using Penzoil Plat. Can anyone reccomend a filter? They have a pretty decent selection.

Pick up an OEM Titan filter from Nissan, still fits and you get a bit more filter area.

All filters are not the same.............but they all filter the oil. I use the K&N.

I've always used a K&N as well... good quality filter.

I had Wal-Mart change my oil on my old 5.0 mustang once. First, they couldn't undo the bolts on the oil-pan, had to crawl into the pit and do it for them. Second, they refused to pre-fill the filter and said something like "It's not a diesel and doesn't have a turbo". Well who gives a ****, it has my name on the title and that's all that's required.

Anyway, if you don't care about your car, Wal-Mart is a great place to have it scrapped...errr...serviced.

I just figured oil changes are pretty easy and they changed the oil pretty regularly on my Charger R/T.

However I do respect the opinion of the Forum and I will look for a more suitable mechanic. Thanks for the advice especially since I a newb to the 370z.

good man. im a mechanic by trade and i can honestly tell you ive seen more problems come out of walmart's service departments than any other oil change place. good decision!

Ya, way better to take it to Jiffy Lube if you are looking for something quick, at least they'll give you a coffee and a paper while you sit in your car lol.

I think I'll change mine myself first time, see how it is, just have to make sure I can get under that thing
