Which Oil Cooler?
So my next project is to install an oil cooler for my car but cant decide which one to get (stillen, Z1 motorsport, or Nismo 25row). I'v searched all over the forums and it seems like everyone is happy with the brand they bought. Does it really matter which brand????

They all seem to use the same core (Setrab) so unless you see someone saying they had catastrophic failure you could probably go with anyone of the ones you've seen people buying here on the forum. Price and size of core would be the main concern at that point.

Z1 Motorsports offers a nice kit for a good price.

It makes sure the oil gets warmed up before it goes to the core, you only need this in a cold or temperate climate. I have the Z1 25 row cooler and beating on the car today in MD in 90 degree heat I only got a max oil temp of 200. Without the cooler it would have hit 230 to 240.

There is a DYI for an oil cooler on here as well. I did that and saved about $100 for the same kit. That z1 and the others sell.
My oil has never gone above 210 in 99 degree weather. Mocol thermostatic cooler with -10 fittings 20mm 25 row Setrab oil cooler 10' of -10 braded hose and 90 degree fittings -10 |

Whichever kit you purchase, absolutely get a thermostatic plate, unless you live in the tropics or a location where temps don't vary much year round. I live in Vegas, and I have one. It can get cool here in the winter.
