What is that for a dump truck? You wouldn't have to change the oil near as often though.

The surface area is roughly the same as the 34 row series 6, however due to its shape you do get slightly better cooling efficiency thanks to the way it lines up in the opening. When I filled the thing up dry it took just under 7 quarts of oil.

Pretty interesting. Will it still fit with an intercooler?

Awesome question. I was thinking the same thing. If he just has bolt ons, I don't think we will have the asnwer to this question though. Anyone else with the AE Performance Oil Cooler?

I think if it sits in front of the support brace that runs up the middle, then it would cause problems with an IC. My core sits in front, and not inside, and i will have to get it changed.

It sits in front of the brace, the bottom is flush with the edge of the plastic radiator brace. There is still some room left in front of the oil cooler as that is where I mounted my power steering cooler, but I don't think there would be enough room for an intercooler given how thick those are. For a track worthy FI cooling setup I would probably look towards using two 25 row coolers.

Here are some pictures from one of the people that installed it.

Thinking of getting the Z1 kit... Does anyone have their 34 row installed with stillen intakes? what all modifications have to be made to get it to fit?

you dont need modifications to make it fit. Just gotta be smart about how you route your lines (but you gotta be smart about that regardless of what kit you get and what other stuff you have installed)

<-- has the kit

There's no modifications to be had. They just haven't removed that from there site. I have the 34R GTM with the Stillen and it fits perfect. Z1's is the same. Unless you have a Nismo? Not sure if there's something that has to be modified with the different bracing they have.

for a nismo, you just have to take the front harmonic balancer and flip it around (180 degrees) and reinstall it. The reason for this is that one side of the balance is bigger than the other. Unfortunately its the side that the oil cooler core goes on

We originally added that quote due to the fact that Stillen quoted it.

After further experimentation, we later discovered that the 6 series core will fit without any issues. We HAVE discovered however, that when installing the Oil Cooler Kit with a Gen III intake on a NISMO model, that you have to remove the factory metal air guides that are riveted to the aluminum crash bar. The combination of the two pieces make the install difficult with the metal air guides installed.

.... and for some reason Stillen still states that the Gen III's will not fit a NISMO??? Not exactly sure why this is still stated.

They probably want to avoid "OMG I bought this stillen intakes that stillen says fit and now they don't, I hate stillen, omg omg omg, I'm never buying from them again, omg omg omg!!!!!111!!11oneone!!"

Thats just my guess.

FWIW, at least the stillen Air-to-water intercooler is comparatively tiny and so its much easier to fit with other cooling bits. I have the IC on one side and the oil on the other. I am sure there wouldn't be a problem installing a 72row cooler in there either. Im thinking the 34row 6 series is the way to go for me though. It should work great with a shroud.

Wow, that 72 Row is massive. Now I see why it costs 1.1k for the kit............
