Semtex, RCZ... What gear on the dyno

I'm at the dyno with a few friends and going to baseline the Z, what gear?

M.Bonanni 04-11-2009 11:52 AM

5th gear

DannyGT 04-11-2009 03:29 PM

Well after a great break in period + some warm up pulls I managed to make 282whp and 241wtq three times in a row. Talk about consistency!!!!

Will post graphs later...

semtex 04-11-2009 07:37 PM

What kind of dyno?

DannyGT 04-11-2009 08:00 PM

DynoJet, started with a 271whp run then ended with 3x 282whp runs...I was happy with that as a base. I'll now have a good base for when all my stuff arrives in ~2weeks.

...and 5th gear was used.

I'll try and get the graphs up tonight if not definitly tomorrow morning.

Cool! Yeah 282 isn't bad at all for stock. Not bad at all.

Josh@STILLEN 04-11-2009 09:29 PM

282hp sounds like a ringer! Congratulations!

With some rough conversions that puts you in the 260's on a Dyno Dynamics which would be a great result. Good luck with the mods!

Very nice numbers.

I am going to have access to a Mustang Dyno sometime next week and will be seeing what I am pushing with my 7AT base before I start adding mods. How does a Mustang Dyno compare with a DynoJet or Dyno Dynamics?

It should read less than the DynoJet and higher than the Dyno Dynamics. Low 270's maybe?

RCZ 04-12-2009 11:13 AM

The dyno dynamics is going to read like 260WHP. (between 250 and 260)

We did our runs I think in 4th. Doesn't make much of a difference

MarcusMIA 04-14-2009 11:41 AM

How did you go through your break-in period?

RCZ 04-14-2009 12:05 PM

Who are you asking? me?

Babied it 600 miles. Then I took it to the track.

bullitt5897 04-14-2009 12:59 PM

i had similar numbers and my break in was 800 miles by the book then drove it like a bat out of hell!

DannyGT 04-14-2009 01:07 PM

Drove it mildly for 2000 miles, then did the first oil change, then did my first dyno run
