Agreed, plus the pricing is still yet to be announced. I just hope it isn't so expensive that it becomes inaccessible to many people.

IF it even happens, it probably will be.

it will be really cool for like 3 days, then like with any car/mod you will get used to the power and get bored and start looking for the next way to get more power out of the engine. But by that time you'll have full bolt ons a tune, and no vvel, there won't be anything left except weight reduction. VVEL won't make your car like 'scare the sh!t out of you' fast

Valve timing and lift make a huge difference. It won't rival FI, but it will make a big difference in NA performance potentially.
I'll put it this way: Imagine there was a "race cam" for our car. Everyone would be jumping at the chance to open the motor and put in the new cam. Well with VVEL tuning, you can just dial it in electronically.

But you're right... the 3.7 is very limited unless you go FI. In the end it's the cheapest and most effective way to get meaningful power out of the car.

You're making me jealous with that discussion

Another 20 or so horses through the midrange would be fantastic for the trackability of the Z, especially if the powerband was smooth-- which it should be if they get all the tuning figured out. |
