I called like 3 different places, I think they all got together just to make us buy the expensive one!! I am also pissed that they say these clutches fit out cars but actually they dont unless we have the sleeve or replace the whole csc. This is a scam...

Who told you that? I quit offering them because the stock slave cannot handle the added pressure of the aftermarket clutch kits. The sleeve does help it last longer but it will still die sooner or later.

I have had a lot of calls on the sleeves for the stock slave so I am going to run another batch of them for you all. I still recommend the HD Slave kit for long, trouble free life

We have the sleeves for the stock slave back in stock now.

I've been reading about this. What exactly is the reason for needing this? I just purchased a new clutch/flywheel and am curious if I need to purchase this sleeve as well?

Which clutch did you buy? JWT? I would highly recommend at minimum the sleeve, if you don't want to pull you trans again to replace the stock slave get our HD CSC assy.

The sleeve properly aligns the bearing face to the pressure plate fingers, Without it the slave bearing can push through the fingers and blow out the slave.

The stock slave will still blow out in time but the sleeve will prolong the life of it.

Here is a link and info for the sleeve and why we made it. We have since discovered that even with this sleeve the HR slave cannot handle the added load of aftermarket clutch kits and is why we came out with the HD CSC assy.

Zspeed HR OEM Slave Sleeve Info
Some people have had good luck with just the sleeve and a new OEM slave and others have still had a new slave die within 10,000 miles or less. The stock slave is just not that good.
