A few oil cooler questions?
Whats up everyone. I will either be installing a 25 row oil cooler myself or having one installed by a local shop by the end of next month (just in time for ZDayZ!!) and I had a few questions. When it comes time to do your first oil change after the install is there a way to drain the quart of oil or so that is left in the cooler? Or do you just count that court of oil already in the car and just add the normal amount you would for a stock 370? Also I'm considering the Z1 kit and can anyone explain to me how the thermostatic adapter plate works?
Thanks.

The only way to completely drain the oil in the cooler and lines is to remove the cooler and flip it upside down, as well as gravity drain the lines. Not worth the trouble at each oil change interval, in my opinion. The residual amount won't matter. When adding new oil just top up to between the H and L lines on the dipstick, as you normally would. You end up using an extra quart of oil or so compared to stock.
I'll let someone else describe the mechanism of the thermostatic plate, as I don't think I can explain it in an eloquent way.
