I really like those side skirts, but damn is it expensive!

Falcor 02-11-2011 02:18 PM

why would I want CF pieces with someones logo on it? Are they going to pay me to advertise for them?

I agree, but it is interesting how they've done it. Maybe AK will be offering "the370Z.com" B-pillar replacements soon. ; )

Yeah, I have a question. If I pay them to put their logo on my car does that mean i'm sponsored by them? but instead of them paying me to put their name on my car I pay them...pretty shrewd business there.

Some people like parts with visible logos so they can show off what brands they have on their car. It's the same reason that people put license plate frames, decals etc on their cars; pride in the brands. The best thing I can say is if you don't want to "advertise" for a brand, then it's probably good for you to not buy the parts that have "branding." However, if you think about it, most parts from virtually every manufacturer have logos on them, so does that equate to advertising still?

I still laugh when I see someone with a clothing brand logo on their shirt.

The variable exhaust is interesting, but the price caused my jaw to drop and snap loose from the skull. Now I need to have my jaw wired up :(

Falcor 02-11-2011 10:08 PM

man that exhaust looks sick!!! I would love to be able to afford that. then again if i could afford an 8k exhaust I would prob be driving a GT-R.

:iagree: When you wear, say, a Nike swoosh, it's not just because the consumer has pride in its brand or is in love with the design of the swoosh. It's also because Nike knows you're a wandering billboard and placed that logo there.

Lemers 02-11-2011 11:49 PM

A good original design will be recognized by people and doesn't need a logo. As i recall Nike air jordans didn't have swoohes. There is no ford or mustang on the mustang GT. An I don't see Zele stamped all over there parts. I do like the rain covers for the hood, but I like they should be called wash covers because that's the most likely use for them.

Why would you want a car with someone's logo on it? Exhaust? Intake? Turbo? Supercharger? Swaybars? Coilovers? Springs? Wheels? Tires?

Lemers 02-12-2011 10:09 AM

Don't forget the big Nissan burgers on the front and back

christian370z 02-12-2011 10:18 AM

If there are so many objections to branding, why do so many people post all the brands of their mods in their signature?

Vegitto-kun 02-12-2011 10:26 AM

Top secret

one of the most overpriced brands ever.
