Default [Equinox] Nismo dyno progression journal

Well, I've been deployed for about 10 months now, and I'm on a 2 week vacation. I was finally able to get my Nismo dyno'd with the GTM 3" cat back exhaust on it. I have a baseline, but that dyno was done at Z1 Motorsports in Georgia. My local shop i Texas has a Dynojet dyno just like Z1, but there is no telling if either dyno's are throwing different numbers. Anyways, I'll be using my local shop from now on. I won't be able to get any more dyno's until I finish my deployment in June, but atleast for now, I have a base line, and a catback exhaust chart to check out. Enjoy!

Baseline Dyno from Z1 Motorsports at ~ 2,000 miles

274.2 whp @ ~ 2,000 miles, 227.5 wtq

GTM 3" cat-back true dual exhaust at Precision Tire in Texas at ~ 6,000 miles
(dyno chart to be posted, the shop has been stringing me along for 3 days promising me the chart, they ran out of ink, and won't let me use my thumb drive. ******* hate these people.)
302 whp @ ~ 6,000 miles
Comments on the GTM Exhaust: Now this exhaust is intended for use with their turbo application, which I intend to eventually get, but for fun, I got the exhaust first, while I wait to get the turbo system - make the car sound better in the mean time. Now a 28 whp gain just from a catback exhaust is huge, BUT supposedly VQ motors actually gain horsepower with break in. So 10 or 15 of that horsepower was probably just the break in from 2k miles to 6k miles. 274whp is a low stock dyno for any 370, including the Nismo, so I suspect break in HP is the culprit.

More to come!
