Gasoline

Anybody find a fuel the Z especially likes? I found my C5 Vett ran best on Chevron.

I always try to run Chevron or BP. No perticular reason. I just trust this brands more.

In the north east, I used to run Sunoco only and my Saab ran best on it. Out in CA, I don't really care anymore as long as it is a name brand station with 91 octane gas available.

my daily used to always run funky with chevron, and so i stuck to shell, until they added that oxygenated crap. now its been 76.

with that said...ive never not put 76 in my Z. ill have to try some other stations

Only have my car 2 weeks and my first two fill ups have been Shell and the car feels perfect. I may try Chevron next time just to see.

Thanks for the input guys!!

Different brands really make a difference? Do all brands follow the same regulations?

to be honest, not really. all top tier fuels are the same, just different brands add different detergents and additives. i know when shell added their "oxygenated" fuel, i lost about 2 MPG consistently, so i switched to 76. and when i ran chevron with techron, i noticed the car felt a little unresponsive. (this could all be in my head of course..)

I usually fill up with Shell, and occasionally Chevron when a Shell isn't in sight. In this top tier site, why isn't BP listed on here? Or is it listed under a different name? Top Tier Gasoline

For whatever reason Chevron (which I ordinarily would trust) seemed to cause my fuel sender to read incorrectly...

idk, i swear my car feels peppier with Shell Vpower over Chevron...this was also true the 6 years i owned the 350z
