Request for drf files from Dynojet!
Hey folks,
If you have dynoed your 370Z or G37 on a dynojet and can get the runfile (i.e., .drf), please email it to me as an attachment at jlitman@mail.usf.edu I don't need the graph -- I need the actual drf file. The dyno operator should be able to give you that on a thumbdrive or email it to you upon request. I like to compare and contrast across vehicles to see what works (and what doesn't) and to what extent. So long as the data all come from dynojets, it should be fairly easy to see what's going on. If you send me drf's, please tell me the mod list for each run, your transmission, and whether the run was done on an in- or above-ground dynojet (there might be a small difference between the two). In return, I will be happy to make you a nice graph displaying the results in whatever way you want (I have the Winpep software). I can even make detailed graphs, which report degree of change between two runs at multiple points in the rev range. Thanks! :tiphat: |
Bump?
Guys, people post all the time asking what a stock Z or Nismo puts down, and how much gain from such and such mod. I'm offering to compile a database using the same measuring stick (i.e., all data from the same kind of dyno -- a dynojet) and the same correction factor (SAE) -- if you can get hold of your drf file(s) please send it to me :tiphat: Again -- NOT a scan or jpg of the graph (although I'll take those too), I'm looking for the actual data, called a drf file. The shop where you run will have them saved and should be happy to share them with you. This will clarify drivetrain losses, gains from mods, differences due to tunes, etc. Thanks! :D |
Let me know if you find it, I would love to compare that to my 350

I have receivced a few drf's for comparison, plus I have dozens of my own. |
my shop is retarded, they won't give me anything, they wouldn't even let me watch the dyno, then they ran out of blue ink, then they wouldn't put the file on my thumb drive because they don't know how and won't let me. I have the dumbest shop in the world. Just dyno'd the Nismo at 302 whp, and I have no chart to prove it 3 days later. Sigh.

WTF? And you still let them do it? I would have been having a **** fit to get my car off of there ASAP if they didn't let me even watch it.. |
I'm not a high strung guy, and I don't get riled up all that easily. I blame the Army, but who knows. Anyways, I do know they are the only dyno within 70 or so miles, so I put up with their ********. Eventually I'll set things straight with them, but I'm on 2 weeks vacation from deployment, and their idiocy is nothing a shiner bock beer can't fix. :)

Of course, if they can't figure out a thumbdrive they probably can't figure out emailing or zipping files either :icon14: Thanks for trying -- LMK if you are able to get them ;) Was 302 SAE corrected or STD? Any mods? |
sae corrected and GTM 3" CBE is all

Throw on some high flow filters and HFC's or TP's and you should creep up around 315 . Nice number, BTW  |
