"Horribly unfortunate" ?

Were you born yesterday? First year new models have problems. No sympathy for early adopters who are indignant about every perceived slight.

I am well aware of that lol. I was not expecting it to not have problems at all. I was simply saying I would probably rather be patient and see if anything is done about it before I decide to make the purchase. I definitely still want to get a 370. That was a pretty radical assumption man, I don't know what I said that made you feel like I was completely unaware that first year new models never have any problems... I said nothing of the sort.

Don't cuss the early adopters - they're the ones whose moaning makes sure the cars are put right for people like you & me!

I say Early Adopters RTMFW.

Maybe true, but the G37 has been having these issues since it came out and Nissan ignored it.

Really? Dang so I guess the oil issues continues..mmm. A shame Nissan has ignored this..as not sure any car manufacture can get through bad press(nor should they even in a good economy). I have held off on buying til a solution is found by Nissan..and if not they could lower the price a bit more, if people are going to shell out more of their money for an oil-cooler+install.

mm...I have been on the fence for a 350 or 370(Hurry Nissan fix this..looking for a Silver/sport/6spd)

^^ i agree w mcsqueeb. I truly hope nissan figures out that this is in some way or another affecting their sales. I talk about it with my coworkers everyday about the issue and those guys are enthusiasts who have other inthusiast friends that talk to them about the oil heating issue as well. A handful of people i know won't look at this car anymore because of THIS VERY THREAD.

This will never effect you during daily driving, only time you have to worry is when tracking.

Really? and you are sure about this via what solid factual information?

People are reaching 250+ on daily "spirited" driving in 75 degree weather in a span of 5 whopping minutes. In the west coast, ambient temp reaches above 100 easy in the summer and couple that to prolonged stop and go socal traffic. How are you so sure about your statement? People are having worries and it's barely spring.

I was regularly getting it to 260 today on 2 minute auto-X runs, once returned to idle the temperature would drop. Ambient temperature was 45 degrees. 10-15 minute cool down between runs.

At 10:30am I took a drive from Sylmar to the 405 to 118. Got off on Topanga to PCH to Kanan RD to Mulhalland and back to Topanga . My oil temp read 225 in the canyon roads and it didn't go any higher than 225 temp. The outside was 78 degees.
