jerking when starting from low rpms

My car has always done this since I've gotten it, but when I tried my friend's G37 it didn't do this so I'd figured I should get it checked out.

Does anyone else's car have this issue? When in first gear, starting from a stop, and under 2k rpm, the car jerks a bit (kinda feels like it's going to stall even though I'm accelerating). If it's just because it's too low of an RPM, what's the best RPM range to start smoothly from? Thanks in advance. 09 6MT 370z
