Brake booster hose
Has anyone upgraded there brake booster hose? I am replacing all my OEM hoses with aftermarket but didn't know if the hose is filled with liquid or what? Also worried if swapping it out will put air in the system? or basically anything I need to worry about...
Is it as simple as swapping out the PVC hoses? undo the clamps, pull off the OEM hose and replace it with the new one? or does it require a little more finesse? Thank you in advance for your help!

CERBERUSlucid,
Glad you asked about the brake booster hose. On the 370Z the hose that we have in silicone can be simply replaced without any problems. There is a check valve in the brake booster system to ensure your brakes work even when the car is not producing a vaccum but on the 370Z that valve is in a hidden hose different from the one being replaced and makes it extremely simple. Other Z models were not so lucky....aka 350Z. You can find our silicone brake booster hose, in stock, HERE. The only thing you will need to watch is when installing the new hose be careful not to push the hose too hard or you will be removing the cowl panel to hold the other side of the hose and fish it back through the void. Vaseline is your friend when installing. |

Ask and we will try to deliver.
You can find them on our website HERE. I'm glad that you were pleased with the other hoses you purchased from us. I also appreciate you bringing to our attention the fact that we had missed a hose. We have these hoses in Black and Blue in addition to the Red. |

SWWwweeeettt Thats exactly what I have been hunting for! Maybe Im dumb but I couldn't find it on your website during my first order?! but I will for sure add that to my next order!
Here are some low res iphone pics of the hose sets...cant really see some of the hoses because the front half of the engine cover is on but you get the gist of it...I plan on keeping the engine cover on until someone develops a great looking/functional manifold replacement for the waffle one Nissan developed... Z1 hose kit sets, gold titanium bolts, custom overflow tank by xSxExCx, and Injen intakes so far...

FYI yeah I know the ARC cap doesn't really match, but that cap is the only thing I kept from my 06 G35mt after some @$$ totaled it =(... My New Z honors my G with that one piece =)
here she was before the unthinkable happened...just before I even really got to go for it =(

Z1, do you make those hoses that connect to the intake sound baffles for the HR?

Z1 on top of Q8y's question do you also carry the four hoses that carry the coolant to the throttle bodies? two for each side...as well as a one of the power steering fluid hoses?
Also I took some photos of the hoses installed so far with a better camera and angles to show =) ... I will post them up tonight =) and you were right the brake booster hose was easy as well =) It all looks great =) Almost time to do the coolant hoses

Just thought I would chime in and try to help answer some of these questions. Regarding Z1 silicone side pcv hoses, if you have an aftermarket intake that has the built on nipple for that port like most do, then yes they will fit. For the waterline hoses, we do not currently have any formed hoses. It is our recomendation to bypass the throttle body coolant lines. We use a reinforced bulk silicone for this application and we pull the nipples out of the throttle bodies to clean up the engine bay, and keep the IAT cooler. If you are not living in the artic, and don't have to worry about throttle bodies freezing, we recommend you do this. We have been doing waterline bypasses for years with no reported problems on other Z/G models and recently on 370Z's. Also we offer the bulk hose in 6.5mm and 8mm I.D. and both will work for this application. Personally though I prefer the 6.5mm, it is a little bit harder to work with, but it also has a smaller O.D. and I think it looks a little cleaner. I recommend picking up a can of silicone spray. It is the best lubricant when working with any silicone or rubber hoses, it is extremely slick, and dries quickly leaving little to no residue. I appreciate you guys bringing this up because this bulk hose was not listed in your section of our site, but it is now and you can find it HERE Spencer |

So if I dont do the throttle body bypass mod these hoses CAN replace the current hoses on the throttle bodies correct? and also how about the one hose on the power steering tank that is visible when your running an aftermarket intake? Will these hoses work on that as well? The size is a bit larger on the PS tank
