launching

hey guys im just wondering, what is the best rpm when launching thus having minimum wheel spin (for a nismo).

One more thing is that when im quick shifting mostly happens from 2nd to 3rd i hear this loud noise (feels that something is wrong) it only happens when i shift after the shift indicator ( exactly on the redline).

if it's a grinding-ish noise it's probably a synchro they frickin suck in some of our trannies, 2300-2500 is good feather the clutch a little if you feel like changing it soon.

when u say quick shift, do you pop ur clutch from 2nd to 3rd?

I have seen people saying that launching around 2.5-3krpm is ideal for most cases, I have not done many launches but I have the best luck around 2,500 rpm.

Hmm. Good to know. You can definiitely rev that high doing a brake-stand launch in the auto

Nismo will be more prone to spinning out due to the stiffer spring rates.

Every track, condition varies but I usually launch at 4k RPM at my local track. Can I launch that hard on the street w/o lighting up the tires?? **** no. Just give it a try and see wha happens.
