Engine flooded?

might be wet filters, might have to drain the oil. I'd do that just to be safe...man and I told people there would be issues there and no one wanted

Just started my Z. It started fine on the first try but was idleing quite high. What should my next steps be?

I doubt he needs to check the oil. If enough water got into the engine to seep past the rings and into the oil pan, he would've hydrolocked the engine first.

on my way home from amplified i accidentally ran Rin into a humongous puddle...but she's still purring happily (weird exhaust location notwithstanding)

kinda weird how some injen users have issues, some (me?) don't? seems even more strange since my front bumper has a big ol' opening that provides water right onto the filters

Let it Idle till it warms up, and it should settle after a few minutes, also check the oil to make sure it looks normal

Goes
Back to what I said about the MAF. it sounds like it got wet and is "confused". Pull the air filters off and make sir they aren't soaked. If they are, bring them inside and let them dry out.

that's the surprising part though. i have brake ducts, a massive front opening, etc., so water gets in real easy. hasn't been a problem so far.

then again, i only drove it one day, it's boarded up in the garage right now.

Yeah, I don't doubt its not happening to everyone. The conditions have to be such that it causes problems, they may or may not happen, but the likelihood of them happening due to the location is greater.

Probably still picking up some moisture in the air. Mine would idle at around 1000 also.
I would leave it be for now and not start it till tomorrow when the rain is over and the car is fully dried out.
