How many miles are on this car? Usually the clutch take up on these cars will start very close to the firewall when new, and as it wears in will come up.
Yes, the clutch is adjustable but it isn't any easy adjustment. The adjustment is made by changing the length of the push rod connected to the clutch pedal, the specifics are in chapter CL of the repair manual. Given that the clutch should have been factory set correctly I would be a little curious why it is so high.

It wasn't a fun project -I was upside down with my head stuck under the dash for a couple hours! I hope the CL chapter is easier to do, but how to open that .7z archive?? |

Try using 7zip or WinRar, had no problem here. If problem persists try downloading again as the file might have got truncated.

I did google Peazip and saw that it supports .7z so in theory it should have worked for him. More than likely the download got truncated and needs to be downloaded again.
