Default Strange 6 speed transmission squeal

Hey fellas. I have a little issue I'm hoping someone can help me with because my dealership is in denial that anything is wrong with my car.
In gears 1 through 5 my car has developed a high pitched squeal/whine that begins just under 3k rpm and it gets higher pitched all the way up to 7k rpm. This has just started and is not the normal low whine of our manual transmissions.

When I let off the gas I hear a "yeeeoww" noise and then silence until I give it gas again. There is no abnormal noise when revving the engine in neutral. The sound is just as loud with the windows down.

Other things to note:
This issue arose right after an oil change (nissan ester) ??
When revving in neutral then letting off the gas, the tach needle pauses at 1500rpm and the whole car shakes a bit.

Its annoying as hell to cruise around 3k rpm now so I've adjusted my driving habits

If it's the diff it shouldn't be that loud unless he's running hard poly bushings.

Had the same squealing noise you are talking about. My dealer replaced
the transmission and it went away. About 9000 miles later it came back
now they tell me its normal. Wtf

Any chance you can get a vid of it? Might be helpful in diagnosis.

Thanks for the replies.
@fuzzywuzzy
It does sound like it could be the diff. I just don't understand why it would get so much louder all of a sudden. Before, I couldn't really hear it over the engine and transmission noise. It's hard to tell exactly where the sound originates from of course.

I don't have a way to record the sound unfortunately. I'm going to schedule a visit to a different shop next week so hopefully they'll be more helpful than my dealership!

Also, this engine shudder and tach needle pause at 1500 rpm I experience when then letting the revs fall is normal I'm thinking?

Just for anyone that cares, that sh*tty noise (from the diff?) suddenly disappeared last week. I did some hard driving right after a long trip on the highway and the next time I drove the car..no noise! I have no idea if that spirited outing had anything to do with the cure but I'm happy either way

Do you live in a climate with high humidity? My 2011 has emitted that noise twice now. Both times it was very humid for a long period of time, once after a full day of rain and once overnight when there was dew/moisture everywhere. Once I drive it awhile it goes away. This happened to me with a Toyota Celica GT-S; the belt tensioners had to be replaced twice before it went away. You might want to explore that. Good luck!

Actually, when I was hearing that noise, it was cool and dry here in north Texas. I'm still clueless about what it could have been but just chalked it up to break in.

It hasn't come back even though we're experiencing the same weather conditions that were present when it showed up.

I think there was something going on in the diff that miraculously cured itself after some tough love.
