Rule of thumb is 10 degree reduction in intake temp gets 1% increase in HP.

I am planning on buying this set up with the Y pipe here in the next few days. I also have some Berk HFC's that I havn't installed yet. But I also have installed Stillen headers. Do you think I will have any fitment issues? Thanks
not sure,, but there is only one way to find out,,,,
Thats true...I ordered the Top Speed exhaust today, but I havn't had much luck in finding a magic y pipe....but I will let you guys know how it all works out may take a few weeks before I will be able to piece it all together....
Seems like a debate....but how much of a difference do you think there is between the JIC and the top speed Y pipe? I hate to settle, but if I can't find a JIC then I will purchase the TS....I don't like some of the bends on the TS, but do you really think it will matter that much?
alt370z...dont you have the TS Y pipe? and you made those gains with that one correct?
Anyone who has/or is ordering this exhaust care to weigh it?
From my email from the sender, Fedex has it weighting in at 57 lbs for both the CBE, and the Y pipe, I'm not sure how much of that will be packaging, but that atleast gives you an idea....
By picking it up both myself before, it was def. lighter then factory exhaust .
i kinda wish i didnt buy the stillen exhaust, i over payed for it, and it doesnt sound as nice as some systems out there.
Are these gains with the catback and Y pipe only ???? or the test pipes are also included on the dyno.

I bet the base line run didn't reflect giving the ECU enough time to adjust to the K&N filters (takes 3-5 runs for the ECU to adjust), which he claims to have also had installed in both runs. So... my guess is that the baseline should be interpreted as "without K&N's" (even tho' they were installed) and the second run should be interpreted as "K&N filters + CBE" -- that is a more likely explantion for that big gain in power. |
