Mine does the same thing - sounds like an exhaust leak near the rear of the engine (I haven't been able to pinpoint exact location, so that may be way off) until fast idle starts backing down. . OK. I'll believe that it's normal, but what causes it? Is there a simple and easy way to make it quieter?
