is 7AT changeable?
As some of you might know I have 7AT Z along with DD 5AT 07G sedan, and am all set to pull the trigger for GTM SC.
As there is a valve body upgrade available for the 5AT, so I was thinking if swapping the gearbox between these two cars is possible or not? The only reason here is I can the 5AT with the upgrade till something comes up for the 7AT, even 5 gears would be enough for me in the Z. Just not looking for too many alteration if its a bolt on thing would be nice. Any comments are appreciated |

Give the guys at Level 10 a call. I am sure if you send in your 7AT valve body and torque converter, they could work on them.

you might need to do some ECU tuning to get it to work or at worse case modify the ECU to adapt the 5spd trans. Man seriously just SC the G. The HR engines does better than the VHR with SC's thanks to the fact that it has no VVEL sci-fi technology

This swap won't work. It would be a massive wiring job and I don't think anybody would want to take that on. You're going to be stuck with the factory trannys in both of these cars.
