Eneos 0w-50
I wantd to know if anyone has tried running ENEOS 0W-50?
I am going to run this oil in the next few days and see if really helps with keeping the Eng temps down. Because I am tired of hitting 260 on my temp read out with NISSAN OIL. Nippon Oil | ENEOS 0W-50 FYI there is a guy who went 9600 miles on it this oil and sent it off for a OUA done and it came back very good. Changing oil brands isn't going to make a difference in oil temp.
Add an Oil Cooler. |
that's the oil that Sam recommended for me and my tt setup. I live in orlando, Fl so you know how hot it can get here during summer time.

Oil cooler.
|
did anyone say oil cooler already? J/K A good is better, but a cooler is the only way to control temps.

Well Your putting very high level oil in. I dint car about gas because this is my weekend car. But what was API spec for your car? G37 and 370z is 5w30. That's for gas savings. Did you have a v8 ? Also this oil is not for every car out there. It's japan base oil and some oils do better in other cars. And most people out there will never use a 0w 50 oil. This oil dose very good in our cars. Also do to the VVLE I wanted a very good oil that was API approved.

What I don't understand is why the G37 does not have this oil temp issue and the 370z does. Maybe there is a reason the G37 fully loaded is 4k more then a fully loaded 370. Becuase there is no oil temp Gage in the G .

0w50 would seems a little to thick for regular street use...the track on the other hand is a different story..

It has the same engine and same problems, just doesn't have the oil temperature display hence 90% of the problem is solved right there. If you attempted to track it you would have the same limp mode in the same amount of time. If you want to see the oil temp you should be able to read it off the OBDII port. |
Really good oil!
i used to use it on my s2k. I would use Mobil1 but my engine would eat it, I mean in about 1000 miles I would lose a quart. THose engines were notorious for eating oil. When I switched to Eneos, I didnt lose a single drop. |
I used this for my first fully synthetic change at 1500 miles, ran great , about 10deg coooler , ran quieter then the change afterward which was for RP 5W 30, I will use again in another 2750 ish miles. Good stuff.
