hello do you guys know the best gear in automatic 370z, when i had my auto 335i my best gear is 3rd because it can go all the way up to 100ish

Man, I wonder about all this. In my WS6, I loved 3rd gear and everyone talked about "the 3rd gear pull". I don't think there is any truth to it, though. I pulled just the same in 2nd as 3rd and 4th when I ran people.

To answer your question, the best gear is the one that puts you in the meat of your horsepower curve and floor it. Shift at redline, wash-rinse-repeat.

Best gear for starting from a stop is 1st.
Best gear for starting in snow is 2nd.
Best gear for cruising on the highway to enhance MGP is 6th.

There is no single best gear for any application. Come on now.

I like to launch hard in 1st and then jump to 6. Then once I start to pull away I shift to 3rd for cruising and showboating.

I start out in 27th gear

Second gear gives me the most. I so rarely drive on the freeway, that sixth gear is a novelty for me. Five gears would be better for me but what the heck, six.

I would have thought you would pull it? I was killing Z4 ///M's (330bhp M3 motor version) with my WS6 and someone said that the WS6/LS1 F-body was = to the 370Z depending on the speed.

Never got a 335i to line-up with me. Did race a late-model M5 and after 3rd gear it just walked me.

*Did you race it in your 335i? I am confused...
