its from pushing in the clutch pedal too quickly at low speed. happens at low speed in 1st, and 2nd (even third at very low speeds) if you just STOMP the pedal to the floor.

You will eventually find the sweet spot to stop the clunk. I haven't clunked in a long time. It used to happen every time when I first got the car.

I find that getting up to 3500rpm and going into second usually prevents it from happening. Or shifting to second at a really low RPM, like under 2000.

It is something that really bugged me before, but now I rarely hear it. Just going up my steep *** driveway sometimes when I push in the clutch in the garage. Can't really help it there.

Does this happen to you guys as well?

I am in a parking lot. I am at a stop. Now I am slowing driving and I am in first gear. Now I am about to shift into 2nd gear and at the same its around at 3000 rpm (1st gear) and now i press the clutch all the way (so that I can shift into 2nd gear) and then sometimes I can feel my car like slamming against something. Like it happens randomly. I don't know what causes it. I know for a fact that its probably the way I drive. So anyone noticed this too? Like every time this happens me and the passenger jerk. This only happens when I am trying to go from 1st to 2nd gear. Happens when I press the clutch all the way. HELP~~~;; =(
I think what you're talking about is what happens to me too. Give it just a little dab of throttle before pushing in the clutch.

Exactly, everyone seems to have the same issue. In fact it pretty much happens in most manual cars. I found the only time it does it for me is when I am parking.

So its okay for the car? because it sounds as if it would be harmful to the car.

So you think its because when i am in first gear as the car slowly rows i kinda let go of the clutch and use mostly the gas paddle. you think its because of that?

I noticed when I am in a traffic it occurs more often and even in parking lots.

hmmm so you think u need to give it more throttle?
