Obviously trying to **** me. There's nothing I can do either?

If you car is out of the bumper to bumper warranty, odds are you are **** out of luck.

These are your two options if you don't want this happening down the road again with the OEM CSC.

My 2015 Q60 coupe with only 2800 miles is at the dealership getting a new slave cylinder and a CSC tube.

I brought it in thinking it was leaking oil from the oil pan.

But now I have another issue. My dipstrick reads only 1cm above the L 1hr after turning the car off. The next morning when I checked, it read at half.

So if it's not leaking oil, it's burning hella oil.....

Same engine no?

And apparently, the tech installed a new clutch. But my work order mentions nothing about a new clutch. My dash cam just recorded him saying he installed a new one at only 2800 miles and it rides nice. And something about him wanting to do a burn out but he can't. lol

Just had my CSC fail on me at under 42,000 miles. Super glad I bought the extended warranty as every failure prone part on this car seems to be going out on me one by one right when the standard warranty would have expired. Still going to have the ZSpeed HD CSC installed for insurance down the road and use the opportunity to get the clutch upgraded at that same time.

@Imperial: If you didn't have the extended warranty, what would the costs have been to replace? My extended warranty expires in June of this year and I am considering extending it for another 4-5 years. I want to weigh the price of the warranty against the cost of the CSC if it fails. I only have 25K on my 2010 40th and I may want to do a preemptive strike before it POSSIBLY fails.

Of course the extended warranty will cover other items, but the CSC seems to be high on the list of failures...

The slave is cheap, the labor is expensivish... The car you can get anywhere from $80-$120. I wouldn't pay more than that and the labor can be about $400+

Please view previous message, I'd also just recommend that you buy the csc elimination kit from Z1.

Yeah, if it ever needed to be replaced, it would not be the factory one...

Thanks for the quick response...

Maybe it's just me but I don't think I'll buy another Nissan again. I called my nearest Nissan dealer to ask if there was a recall on the CSC and he seemed pretty defensive as if he had built the car himself. Not only that but he said it was a $120 charge just to diagnose a problem which I told him I know I have. It's not like I have a 15 year old Nissan sentra. I have a car that I paid 30 grand for when it was already 3 years old. If Nissan thinks that little of their customers and doesn't back up their product then they don't have to worry about counting any more of my money. I have a 2005 srt4 that I never had to put any serious money into until after 115000 miles. And that was only to change the clutch and timing belt. When a 10 year old dodge with 170k on the clock is more reliable than a Nissan with 41000 on it there is a problem.
Volko and Zbrah like this.
