wear and tear??....my 1st brand new 1981 Toyota Celica GT had 330k miles with the same clutch as well as my second brand new 1987 Civic Si with 220k, the rest of my cars were traded with at least 40k on the odometer, bought brand new and all but one were standard transmissions, now if something happens to the Z which again bought it brand new with 80 miles from a dealer as a 2013 leftover in 2014, I guess Mark E.Salomon will be on my quick dial...

I picked up a used 2015 Nismo and immediately bought the Zspeed HD replacement and a new MC w/ insulated line

How much are people typically spending on labor for this?

Labor rate quotes run between 5 to 6 hours.

If I remember correctly, I spent about $700 that was everything plus an upgraded clutch & flywheel.

I guess the magic is find the path to the person who has responsibility (cares).
Its obvious Nissan has to recall the slave cylinder or replace it,
but they did the maths and decided otherwise. The only way to object is make this well known - even hit Nissan marketing in Japan. Also if the facebook page gets popular, they will have to act.

I see this as numbers, there are s few Z's at least in my neck of the woods that why bother to recall "all" manuals"..let us bring our broken horses to Nissan and they will claim we did it ourselves since we beat on our Z's. I will subscribe to this topic and will bring it up to the dealer the last day my warranty expires and ask the manager where do I stand....I will too lawyer up and have record of this ordeal others are going thru...no worries...

Aw, crap, my "new to Me" 2012 Roadster with 10K miles just had clutch fail. It's gonna take me all night to read 96 pages on this thread! LOL

Dropped at Sacramento Nissan today. Pray for me that I got a service guy/dealership who won't make me jump thru hoops to get it fixed right. Sigh....

Add me to the list now - just over 5100 KM/3200 miles and dealer confirmed CSC is gone. Going in to get a loaner car today and to see if I can get a Zspeed installed instead.

I think the loose flywheel is a result of improper installation. The leaky csc is due to failed part (poor design).

I suppose on the plus side, you're lucky the loose flywheel didn't do additional engine/trans damage. For example, every time the engine loads and unloads, it would knock. Hear any strange noises before?

Throw me on the list. 09 Touring with 41k on the clock. My question is how long will the stock clutch last? I doubt I'll have this car past 70-80k. Will the stock clutch last that long? I'm just trying to decide whether to change the clutch when I change the CSC or save the cash and leave the stocker in there.
