Z1 Motorsports: Clutch Concentric Slave Cylinder Elimination Kit
We (ZSpeed Performance) do not make that particular CSC delete kit, That is from Z1 Motorsports.

However, We do have an "Adjustable Throw CSC Delete Kit" in the works which will allow the end user to adjust and fine tune the engagement smoothness and release point for any type of clutch. Actually has been in development for going on 2 years now but have not released it yet, We want to test it further before releasing it and make a few minor changes before it is finalized.

Fixed. So sorry about that, Joe. I caught several posts of mine recently getting you guys mixed up. Obviously I didn't catch all of em. My apologies

I look forward seeing the results of your kit as well

I'm going on like two 2 years on Motul 600 without issues. I think some of you are jumping on this "slave failure" bandwagon without trying some things.

The first time I did Autocross I had like 20k on the car and after one lap the pedal stuck to the floor and I had to pop it up with my toes and continue. I went the entire day like that, no ***** given. When I got home I flushed the clutch lines and replaced the stock **** with Motul 600 and I've tracked my Z several times and Autocross'd it a ton and I have NEVER had an issue since then. I have 54k on the car now and runs like new. Stock everything in the drivetrain besides fluids.

Mine failed 2 days ago. Took it to the dealers, was covered under warranty. They replaced the master and slave cylinders, flushed my system and use whatever the GTR uses. Everything works great so far.

Out of curiosity, what happened when it failed? Did it come back after cooling down or no?

What dealership did you go to? Did they find internal/external leaking?
Is that what prompted the CSC & CMC to be replaced?

In my case, they only drained the system and put in the GTR brake fluid.
Their inspection couldn't find any internal or external leakage.

I still wish they would've replaced the CSC & CMC.
It's working fine just now, but I wonder for how long?
I'm still under the CPO warranty for another 70K or until 2017.

FYI, I got 8,000 miles out of the replacement CSC/CMC using GTR brake fluid. You may get more, or maybe less...there is no warning given and for sure, it will fail again!

The dealership called: they don't see anything wrong with the clutch, but they recommended replacing the fluid. They also recommended replacing the brake fluid. I said "sure" to both; can't hurt. It's not like the clutch doesn't work now, so I guess I'll just keep truckin' for the time being. If/when it happens again, though, I'll replace the CSC and CMC with aftermarket parts.

For me, pedal went to the floor, changed fluids, then pedal was decent but never was back to normal pedal feel. Then I had a grind downshifting from 6th to 5th, then 3rd to 2nd, replace transmission fluid didnt do anything. Took it to dealer, they replaced csc and cmc, pedal was perfect again, then about 6-8 months later, started to get the same grind, not wasting my time at dealer and forked over for the Zspeed csc and oem cmc. Well worth the upgrade.

Hi all,

I've just encountered the sticky clutch problem today. A bit of car background, 2010 RHD 6MT Sport bought in Sept 2013 with less than 2000km on the clock. First serviced at the dealer was around 2012 with 1700+km on the clock. Has never done any spirited driving in the past until it came to me.

Changed transmission fluid and rear diff fluid cos it was all dark brown in color. It's been a weekend car till now. It's got 12513km on the clock and its mean't to be driven like a Sports car should be. FAST but safe.

Today was a hot day and it was driven for 25 min at an average speed of 180 km/h. Oil temp reading was around 110 mark. At 5 min from destination clutch pedal was stuck halfway. After, I had cooled down the car because was in a meeting for 2 hrs came and started it back, clutch was still halfway down. Took it down to my local garage, and had the change tranny fluid change, it went back up on its own accord.

I called the dealer to ask the price of the GTR clutch fluid and was informed that its US$191 per litre. WTF. So any ideas are really appreciated in terms of other fluids to replace the GTR one. Thank you

Motul RBF600 should work just fine. Are you sure they didn't quote you for the GTR transmission fluid by mistake? You want their brake fluid, not transmission fluid.

iirc, gtr brake fluid at the dealership runs $45 per bottle. I do remember that you can purchase over 2 quarts of RBF 600 for the price of one quart of the gtr brake fluid per dealership price.

Well, I did ask specifically that if, I wanted to replace the clutch fluid how much would it cost. Also, cos I kept getting passed around and probably got lost in translation with them.

Thank you

It really isn't that hard to do yourself if you have a jack, jack stands and a friend. Just make sure that you don't get air into the MC because it will never come out.

Mine did the clutch pedal to the floor at 4100 miles and I limped into a parking lot. Had the car towed to the dealer that I bought the car from and they have flushed the clutch fluid and replaced with GTR brake fluid. I'll see how it drives and we'll see if that fixes the issue. They made me aware of the service bulletin regarding the issue.
