Just an update over the last 2 weeks the clutch has felt fine though I still question what caused the loss in hydraulic pressure in a sealed system with no leaks.

Boiling the clutch fluid will do it. The fluid runs through an uninsulated rubber hose by the driver-side exhaust downpipe. It's easy to boil, especially DOT3.

Nismos should use gtr fluid but you never know...... I had my csc replaced but my shifter slid too far to the right. Im at the dealer now and they asked me to drive another z to compare i said okay but i know mines off. This z has 6 miles. I made it 1/4 mile and felt clutch pressure go. I told the salesman its going im turning around. 6 miles 2016 370z touring has a failure.

That is unacceptable!

I don't know how this is not a recall because it's very unsafe!

I guess this is like one of those mail in rebates. The manufacturer hope that the customers will not redeem the rebate. Generally, redemption rates are well below 1%. Nissan hopes that either nothing will happen with the CSC or that the Z owners will NOT complain about the CSC failing. If so, it is less than 1% and they will go quietly about their everyday business. If you ask me, they are simply taking the cowards way out.

I'd agree.. I'm surprised no ones gone to the media about it.

I just don't see how even with a bad design a car with 6 miles could fail. I mean that part hasn't even been put under any stress. Perhaps sloppy assembly from the factory led to that one. Definitely would turn me off from buying a manual 370z with that experience though.

Soo... Funny story. I ran some errands today, got a hair cut, got starbucks, did some shopping and so on. As I turned towards my little community my clutch pedal started to stay down at the catch point. I got it home and in my garage where I started pumping the clutch to see if I can get it to bounce back up... It did a little bit. Sitting for a while, I talked to one of my friends who lives a few blocks away and is a mechanic.

He came to look at it and the pedal is stuck back down almost to the floor and the reservoir is at the low mark now... I put 6k miles on the CSC and it seems to have failed yet again. I guess this time i'll pay the difference and get a metal one if it is the CSC. Going to have it towed back to my preferred shop as they warranty their work and part.

I have a single car garage and I park as close to the passenger side wall as possible, before I started it in first to see if I could roll it out of the garage and it stalled moving like a foot almost hitting the wall
