The CSC and master cylinder issues has been around since '07 when Nissan started using CSCs in the transmissions. I'm surprised there hasn't been any changes, but the ZSpeed HD CSC is doing very well for me.

Just dropped my 09 to the dealer today, hope to get CSC replaced fast.

Is the ZSpeed HD CSC the only aftermarket replacement available or are there others?

Pretty sure my CSC just gave out on me tonight

Good luck even if they replace it. Joe at Zspeed illustrated their poor engineering along with Zspeed's corrections. What they did "just made sense."

Just got word back that I was getting the CSC replaced under warranty, but the strange thing is the dealer wouldn't give me a rental. He states they don't do the rental and that it would have to be covered under my extended warranty which means I have to pay the deductible. Is the rental a per dealer thing or should they have provided me a rental.

Dealer replaced the slave and master cylinder and paid for my rental! clutch feels a lot better and smoother then before.

Mine is finally going in Friday.

got mine back today -- clutch feels great.. put about 200m on it after picking it up. :D

^

Mine is the clutch master cylinder. Part will be here in one week. Covered under EXTENDED warranty. 41k miles.

Work order states " Customer states clutch pedal fades and feels mushy when 1st applied at cold start". Inspection confirms customer concern. Mushy feel and found the fluid is full, the clutch master cylinder is by passing. Suggest replace and recheck clutch function.

Next week we will see...

That should help. IIRC, failed master would lead to failed CSC. I had a buddy with a G370 who had the CSC replaced 3 times before they realized it was the master cylinder that needed replacement.

Unexpectedfar 09-15-2012 01:12 PM

how do I get this checked? any signs too look out for?

Can you explain how/why a failed master would cause failure of the slave? If slave is not disengaging properly, wouldn't the damage be more so trans related (syncros and what not) than CSC?

This stuff is way over my head, but the CSC kept failing in his car before they replaced the master cylinder.

Fingers crossed that by replacing the master clutch cylinder will save the CSC.
